Sounds like the relay is bad, look in the fuse panel or under the dash for a lil black box, they are usually appx 1"' x 1" and there should be several of them. You may want to check owners manual or a repair manual to find the location. They should be listed in the schematic of the fuse box as well. Read full answer.
The wiper connections are: Pin 1 Earth. Pin 2 12 Volts from Fuse F43 in Junction Unit B002. Pin 3 Wiper speed 2 command from BCM (0V for speed 2) Pin 4 Wiper speed 1 command from BCM (0V for speed 1) Pin 5 "Cam" signal from wiper back to BCM, for self parking function. I suggest you carefully check the wiring from the Wiper Motor to the BCM
Yes of course they should work regardless of weather. The weather may have been entirely coincidental. The rear wipers go on normally: when in Reverse if the front wipers are on, and also with a twist control on the stalk. (it's the same design as my previous 500) Now researching the BCM. Reply Like.

Aug 7, 2009. #13. Sure enough dealer diagnosed wiper motor is duff. Surprised me that with such an apparently common fault they don't hold a spare. Anyway this unreliable part will now cause my car to be off the road for 4 days. A car such as a Punto is not roadworthy without functional windscreen wipers.

Issue relates to 2009 Peugeot Boxer 3.0 X250 but I believe most of the systems are the same as the Fiat equivalent. Wiper suddenly stopped working completely, no prior faults or problems. Checked fuses ok, power getting to connector plug at motor and could hear a relay clicking within the motor housing when trying to operate the wipers.

I have had this issue with my van (2000 Hymer A class). Whilst the Hymer is based on a Ducato, I believe the wiper system to be from Volvo (truck?), but I would imagine them to be similar in construction. The circlip mention above is accessed by removing the nut and spring washer holding the wiper arm, and pulling the wiper from the spindle.

Most common is a faulty wiper switch. To rule the wiper motor out with the switch on see if there is power to the wiper motor if there is the wiper motor is bad if not the switch is shorted out .
